Copyright Policy

ViralPhrase respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

What We Host vs. Embed

Important: ViralPhrase does not host videos. We embed videos from third-party platforms (YouTube, TikTok, etc.) using their official embed features.

If you have a copyright concern about a video:

• For the video itself: Contact the hosting platform directly (YouTube, TikTok)
• For our written content: Contact us using the process below

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe content on ViralPhrase infringes your copyright, send a notice containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
3. Identification of the material to be removed, with enough information to locate it (URL)
4. Your contact information (address, phone number, email)
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
4. Your name, address, phone number, and email
5. A statement consenting to jurisdiction of federal court in your district
6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the complainant

Repeat Infringers

ViralPhrase will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

Fair Use

ViralPhrase believes in fair use. Our content serves educational, commentary, and research purposes. We document cultural phenomena and provide context about viral phrases. However, we take all DMCA notices seriously and will review each claim individually.
